With or without kids, most people do not enjoy mornings. Except for those select few people out there (aka my Dad).
For the rest of us out there, learning ways to make mornings a bit easier is key. Here’s a list of some of the things I’ve been doing lately to help with hectic mornings:
- Pick out the kids’ clothes on Sundays: Honestly, this is my #1 recommendation. I purchased two closet organizers that hang in each kid’s closet. This way there is no guess-work in the morning as to what they should wear. Two days out of the week I leave the house at 6:45, so having this all set for my husband to dress the kids is golden.
- Pick out your own clothes the night before: While this is easier said than done, I try to at least have an idea the night before of what I plan to wear. Having to search through your closet for that pair of pants or that one shoe you know you left in a good place but can’t find is just not working.
- Make the kids and your lunch two days at a time at night: This is something I just started doing. I’m really trying to save money and not give myself the excuse that I just don’t have time to make my lunch. If you start on Sunday night making Monday and Tuesday’s lunch, at least that is two days down. Once you get to Tuesday, you are already in the groove and the hardest two days are down.
